It is estimated that nearly 200,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year and more than 40,000 will die. The lifetime risk of any particular women getting breast cancer is 1 in 8 and although prevalence in women is greater, men are also at risk of developing breast cancer. Proper screening and early detection are our best weapons in reducing the mortality associated with this disease.
The Breast Cancer Aware Assessment takes approximately seven minutes to complete and includes questions that focus on the following risk factors:
- Age/Gender
- Family history
- Ethnicity
- Menstrual period history
