Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer in the United States (among both males and females) and the second leading cause of cancer death. The risk of developing colorectal cancer rises substantially after the age of 50, and over 100,000 new cases are diagnosed in the U.S. each year. Screening and early detection can effectively help treat the majority of these cases.
The Colon Cancer Aware Assessment takes approximately seven minutes to complete and includes questions that focus on the following risk factors:
- Age/Gender
- History of colorectal polyps
- Family history
- Ethnicity
- Diet
- Obesity
- Physical inactivity
